"The Workload Agreement guarantees teachers in maintained schools in England and Wales ten per cent of their timetabled teaching to be set aside as preparation, planning and assessment (PPA) time during the school day.
The aim of this allocation of time is to encourage collaborative professional activity in the preparation of high quality lessons and to increase the work/life balance of teachers."
Our PPA Cover offers great alternative learning, using creative subjects to either work alongside your curriculum, or as a way of extending the children's learning experience.
All PPA sessions are extremely adaptable, so that every school can get out of it what they want and need. Whether that be to include topics being covered already in class, or to give the children a chance to explore their creative abilities. The subjects used are also a way of giving disengaged or more kin-aesthetic learners a chance to shine.
The choices currently available for PPA Cover are:
Dance - can be used as part of P.E curriculum
Drama - you could use this to help aid a performance
Musical Theatre - you could use this to help aid a performance
Script Writing/Character Profiling
Gymnastics
PPA sessions are offered as a half day or a full day, and can run from a half term to a full academic year.
